This website was created and developed by me, Nancy Marchioro. I've been working as a graphic designer since 1986 and with web development since 1998. In 2001 I registered this domain to have a place where I could experiment, make observations and share the things I love.

Taperouge
Actually, I didn't know what it meant. My husband learned a song when he was a little boy and one day he sang it to me. It sounded so cute and fun! The word, or what sounded like one, taperouge, taperouge kept repeating and stuck to my mind. At the time I couldn't find a reference to anything similar on the internet. I tried really hard to figure out what the song meant. I asked everyone I knew. All I got was that it sounded French, but the words were so mangled I couldn't make sense of them.

Recently, I found it! The spelling of the domain ended up wrong, but since then Taperouge has gotten recognition, the word has gone out and there's no changing now, right?

The whole point is that Taperouge is my playground, my recess time. I love my work, and to me this is all about pleasure.

Work
So, down to business.

I'm currently working at Volvo Information Technology as a web designer/developer where I focus on user experience, web standards, usability, accessibility and optimal product delivery. I also do freelance work for several web development companies on application interfaces or websites, and am available if you are interested.

Technology
Behind is a solid structure of strict HTML 4.01 styled with CSS, some PHP, Javascript, and lots of web services I test and try. I also set up a CMS and maintain the content with it.
